As Director of Policy and Government Affairs, Gabe leads Philanthropy Advocates’ legislative and policy strategy to advance evidence-based solutions that strengthen public education and support increased student outcomes in Texas. Before joining Philanthropy Advocates, Gabe served as a Policy Advisor at Texas 2036, where he focused on PK–12 issues including postsecondary pathways, teacher training and support, early literacy, mathematics, and school accountability.
Gabe began his career in the classroom as a high school science teacher through Teach for America in Tulsa, Oklahoma — an experience that shaped his passion for education policy and equitable outcomes for all students. A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, Gabe also previously interned in the Texas Legislature.
